Bob Gordon (11 June 1928ā28 August 1955) was an American cool jazz baritone saxophonist born in St. Louis, Missouri, best-known as a sideman for musicians like Stan Kenton, Shelly Manne, Chet Baker, Maynard Ferguson, trombonist Herbie Harper and tenor saxophonist Jack Montrose, among others.[1]
There is also a collection of the complete recordings of his quintet and sextet with Harper and Jack Montrose (1954ā55)
